They have won seven world awards for print quality from the Flexographic Technical Association (FTA), including flexible packaging for international confectionery company Wrigleys and promotional packaging for Disney Baby Huggies.
OPM provides high quality self adhesive labels and flexible packaging labels to a range of commercial partners including major health and cosmetics companies, supermarkets, food manufacturers and brewing groups.
The seven FTA prizes come just weeks after OPM swept the board at the European Flexographic Technical Association awards, winning 11 Prizes and 5 Highly Commendeds. The group also took away three awards at the Flexotech Awards in November 2005.
OPM Managing Director Chris Ellison says: “Naturally we are very pleased to have done so well in another international print competition. The FTA is a highly regarded organisation and their awards carry significant kudos within our market. We are particularly pleased to have been recognised for our print achievements in flexible packaging. Our commercial roots are in self adhesive labels but we are relative newcomers to the flexible packaging market, having entered it just four years ago.”
He adds ”More importantly, the awards demonstrate our ability to service clients of all sizes – from young companies looking to improve their branding through high quality labels and packaging, to international brands, whose packaging image cannot be compromised.”
The print group has also carved a successful niche in the market for high quality trial packaging for some of the world’s top brands. OPM’s short print run capabilities enable new product development managers and marketing managers from blue chip brands to create a small batch of a product to test with customers, or to conduct a market trial.
The OPM Group has recently expanded its Bradford operation to deal with increased demand for its flexible packaging.
